This GIANT SWIMBAIT was no match for this 11 pound Largemouth! She completely inhaled the big bait! Matt was fishing Clear lake, throwing a Huddleston swimbait on a deep rock ledge when the big bass hit. 

Swimbaits are still intimidating to a lot of bass fishermen. Something about throwing that giant bait just crushes their confidence and fills them with doubt but as you can see in this video, they really do work. Its not complicated, its not difficult, its about consistency. If you consistently throw the big bait, you will eventually encounter a monster bass while she is feeding. You can do it!

Its simple, its cheap, and it keeps us from inadvertently injuring the bass we care so much about. There is nothing wrong with relieving the pressure inside a bass' air bladder with a needle. The problem is most bass fishermen don't know how to do it properly and end up stabbing holes in the wrong places, causing irreparable damage. By using a lead strip weight you can return the bass to a comfortable depth, wait for equalization to begin, then gently shake them free.
