Where Do Bass go in Fall??? (And The Best Baits To Catch Them)

Fall is here! Here's what you need to know to keep catching bass! Bass are schooling up and feeding! If you're not catching them, you need to adapt right away because it's happening, and you're missing it. Regardless of the type of lake you're fishing, we're here to help! From where bass position in different types of fisheries, to the baits we use to catch them, we're about to lay it all out for you.

Fall is prime time for bass fishing! Whether you like to fish shallow or deep, there are aggressive fish to be caught. We use different lures depending on the type of fishery but the concept is the same; find the baitfish, find the bass. Keep moving, keep searching, and keep your eyes peeled for signs of life! If you can find the baitfish, active bass aren't far behind.

You can catch them shallow or deep, you can catch them on top or with fast moving subsurface baits. This is one of the most fun times of year to fish! That said, there are some pitfalls that a lot of anglers fall into that can quickly ruin your Fall. Here's what you need to know!

The biggest mistake we see anglers make is they forget about Fall. What we mean is, they're so caught up in the struggles of September bass fishing, that when the bite starts changing, they aren't even looking for it. They're still out struggling on a tough pattern, not realizing that bass have moved shallow and the best bite of the year is happening in a cove around the corner! Don't get caught this year, keep pushing and searching for the Fall bite because if it hasn't already started on your lake, it's just around the corner.

Lipless Cranks are amazing!! Today we're showing you all the tricks you need to know! These crankbaits catch great numbers of fish and they catch giant bass too! They can be hopped, ripped, or steady retrieved in open water, around cover, or along the bottom. With so many ways to fish them its easy to get lost, but not after today!

The lipless is one of our favorite bass fishing techniques. It shines in the Spring and Fall but can catch fish any time of year. Our two main methods are hopping the baits on bottom (what we're doing today) and steady retrieving them in the middle of the water column. The two methods utilize completely different baits and today we're explaining why.
