Finesse Fishing Tricks For Cold Water! (How To Catch More Fish)

Your same old tricks won't work this Winter! If you're trying to catch bass the same way you do in Summer, you're in for some tough fishing! Winter fishing can be amazing but it requires a unique approach. Bass become more lethargic as water temperatures drop and subtle changes in your approach will make huge differences in your catch rate.

Tim is covering 6 of his favorite finesse techniques and giving you the key detail that makes each method shine. If you want to be one of the anglers consistently catching fish all Winter long, pay close attention to the details. Tim learned each of these nuances through years of Winter fishing and is happily sharing them so you can enjoy your time on the water.

Below you'll find links to the exact baits and rigging components for each technique. We've included our favorite colors, sizes, and gear where applicable. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

The Float N Fly Just Got Easier! | Winter Bass Fishing

If you've ever wanted to fish the Float 'n' Fly you've got to try this new method! you're no longer limited to a set length, nor do you need the long rod! We have the utmost respect for our predecessors but this method has changed the way Float N Fly fishing is done and it will work for you too!

If you've never fished the float n fly the concept is very simple. You suspend a fly (much like a crappie jig) below a float (bobber) and wait for a big, wary bass to bite. It sounds too easy to be true but this method has been catching giant bass for decades!

If you've never fished the rig, now is the time. The method we use is simple and lets you fish the fly effectively without all the crazy equipment. Now you can use this finesse technique with your regular drop shot rod.

Here is the gear...
