Fishing The Fall Transition For Bass (Subtle Tricks To Catch More Fish)

Come along for an afternoon of bass fishing during the Fall transition! We're targeting Spotted Bass and Largemouth with topwater and the bite is hot! Tim covers some of the subtle nuances that make huge differences during the Fall while catching fish!

Many anglers struggle during the Fall Transition. Typically those that struggle are fighting against the transition instead of embracing the change. Watch as Tim focuses on hard cover and easily puts together a quality bag of Spotted Bass. He also covers some of the subtle nuances like focusing on shade lines and current breaks, and carrying a variety of follow up baits for fish that don't want to commit.

Below you'll find links to the exact baits he had on deck as well as the gear he used to fish them. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Summer Topwater! Big Fish Can't Resist In Shallow Water!

Summer topwater is amazing! Come along on this evening session as Tim gets bit cast after cast on top! He ends up with way over 20 lbs for 5 smallmouth and a TON of BIG bites! Watch as he switches from finesse baits to topwater, then dials in an exact pattern targeting big fish around hard bottom contours.

No matter the species of bass you're targeting, topwater should have a place in your arsenal during the Summer months. Not only is it fun to throw and exciting to see as the bass erupt on the baits, it tends to get a larger bite than many subsurface alternatives. Tim and Tonya fished this lake briefly a few days prior and caught a few quality fish but the moment Tim picked up the topwater it seemed like every fish in the lake got BIGGER!

Below you'll find links to the exact gear used in the video. From the topwater baits to colors, to rod and reel combos, we've included everything. We've even included some of our other favorite topwater walking baits. All the links go directly Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Fall Bass Fishing with Underspins and Swimbaits

This time of year is all about schooling bass. If you can find the schools, you can catch a ton of fish in a hurry! In this video Matt and Tim head to Lake Berryessa, a fishery they haven't visited in months. They start out working scattered fish but it doesn't take long to locate the schools of offshore, deep water Bass and that's when the fun starts!

The guys use a combination of topwater, finesse swimbaits, and good electronics to initially locate the bass. Once they find the school they begin using a combination of spoons, underspins, swimbaits, and tail spinners to keep the fish fired up.

Offshore bass fishing, especially for suspended fish, is one of the most technical ways to fish. But don't let that scare you, as you can see in this video its not that difficult to get these fish biting.
