Tackle storage solutions vary greatly depending on the angler's needs. An individual moving between boats needs totally different gear than an angler who walks the bank. An individual who travels regularly needs yet another set of storage solutions. With all these different needs in mind, we've combed through our own tackle and selected some of our favorite storage solutions to give you examples of what you can do to keep your gear safe and organized.

Whether we're at home, on the boat, or traveling, these items make our lives easier and keep our gear secure.

After catching fish, keeping our gear organized is one of the biggest challenges in fishing. Tackle storage at home, on the boat, traveling between vehicles, and while traveling on major trips, all requires different equipment. You can invest a fortune in your tackle management so to help narrow it down, we're sharing our favorite items. Each of these items came out of our personal gear and is an item that has tangibly helped us stay more organized.

Packing For A Fishing Trip (How To Pack Fishing Tackle) - TRAVEL TIPS

Whether you're going down the road to climb on a friend's boat, or headed around the globe to an exotic destination, packing tackle is a pain! We've developed a system now that makes it much easier to grab our tackle and go, no matter the destination. If you've ever wondered what we pack when we head out on the road, today we're taking a look. 

There will be some deviation in tackle depending on location but the basics remain the same. We have a basic set of terminal (hooks, weights, jigheads) that always travel with us, and some specific hard baits and soft baits that go on every trip. As an example, its always wise to have a Senko or a Chatterbait in your box. With that in mind, we've developed a packing list of sorts, of our favorite travel gear. 

In addition to baits and terminal we rely on travel rods to catch fish wherever we go. We have chosen each of these rods for a specific purpose and would recommend them without hesitation. The key to traveling is using the strongest rods you can afford (strength beats sensitivity during travel) because if you break a rod deep in the mountains or across an ocean there probably isn't going to be a replacement.
