Running Rapids And Catching Fish - Ultra Shallow Jet Boat River Fishing!

"ITS GOING TO SPOOL ME!!" Matt yells over the sound of the rushing river! Tim can't stop laughing as he watches the chaos unfold! Come along as we break in the new jet boat and run rapids in an ultra-shallow river full of CLEAR WATER, JAGGED ROCKS and BIG FISH!

When it comes to fishing we've got a pretty good handle on it, but when it comes to running boats in inches of water above jagged rocks in white water rapids, we're clueless! Watch the chaos unfold as we explore this river, lose our batteries, crash into rocks, and catch some fish along the way!

Below you'll find links to all the baits we had rigged for our day on the water. We've included the exact weights, sizes, and colors. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

The Trick To Never Burn Out On Fishing

Ever had a friend quit fishing altogether? Ever watching a really good angler just vanish from the tournament scene? It happens every day! Ever wondered why? Maybe its the social media pressure, maybe its rude boaters, maybe its their home life, but more than likely its a combination of all the above.

If you're passionate about bass fishing and you want it to be a life-long sport there is one key that will keep you coming back from more. At least once a year you need to STOP bass fishing and do something completely different! Let's be real, bass fishing isn't very relaxing. Between the heavy line and the roaring outboards its not nearly as "back to nature" as trout or bluegill fishing.

Do yourself a favor this year and take a break. If you can find a healthy balance between aggressively pursuing BIG bass and relaxing while fishing for other species, you're going to be a life long angler.

Here is what Matt was using...

Rod- Megabass Destroyer Spinning Rod: http://bit.ly/2B7NyFj
Reel- Shimano Stradic FK: http://bit.ly/2bONXB5

We Caught The Most Rare Fish In North America!

We challenged ourselves to catch the RAREST Fish in North America and we did it! Come along on the journey to see this amazing fish! It took a lot of 4-wheeling, creek crossings, hiking, and a little luck but we finally caught the ultra rare Golden Trout.

We found the elusive trout in ultra clear water and were even able to shoot some underwater footage of them in their natural habitat. This is one adventure we won't soon forget! We literally found ourselves on the Pacific Crest Trail , a trail that crosses the highest peaks in the Continental United States, to reach these fish. If they were easy to reach it wouldn't be worth bringing you along!

We know this branches away from our typical bass fishing content but we hope you enjoy this glimpse into the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

Micro Fishing In A Crystal Clear Stream

Micro Baits for TINY fish in some of the tiniest clear water streams you've ever seen! We hit the road last week in search of something a little different. We went back home to the streams and pools that we grew up on. Come along as we take you underwater to explore the world of Brook and Rainbow Trout while we catch these amazing little fish.

"Micro Fishing or micro baiting" is a growing trend amongst new anglers. We've seen it develop and much you like you, we did it throughout our childhoods. We knew if we were going to film some micro fishing we needed to take it back to our roots so we headed back home, deep into the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Why go micro? Its all about the challenge. Catching tiny fish in places where everyone else overlooks. Whether you live in the South and micro fish for green sunfish or you live in the West pursuing native trout, the gear and the purpose behind it is all the same.

We often spend our time driving fast boats loaded down with high-end equipment in pursuit of big bass but there is something special about breaking away, leaving that outboard motor at home and just doing a little fishing. Do yourself a favor and spool up that old trout rod from when you were a kid and hit the road. You won't regret it!

Here is the Ultralight Tackle we were using:

Matt's Combo...
Rod- Zodias 6'8" Med Light: http://bit.ly/2jOUXAO
Reel- Shimano Sedona 1000: http://bit.ly/2wgh50Z
Line- 4 lb Sunline Sniper: http://bit.ly/2p7fxju

Tim's Combo...
Rod- (Current Version) IMX Pro 6'10" Mag LT: http://bit.ly/2vVN6Zj
Reel- Shimano Sustain: http://bit.ly/2v5ovAm
Line- 4 lb Sunline Sniper: http://bit.ly/2p7fxju

Lure- Panther Martin Spinner: http://bit.ly/2uXduVt
Micro Split Ring (Size 1): http://bit.ly/2v5dj6K
Sharp Treble Hook (Size 8): http://bit.ly/2cWpeyw
