HOW TO CATCH THE BIGGEST FISH OF YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW!

Are you ready to catch a giant? Do you want a new PB? Its time!! If you want to catch a big bass, there are 3 techniques that consistently catch the monsters during the cold water months and today we're going to teach you how to use each of them effectively. Don't waste your Winter opportunity, get out there and catch the biggest bass of your life!

When Winter cold sets in, most of the fish in the lake become lethargic. This creates a unique opportunity for the giant fish to hunt, unimpeded by smaller fish. We use 3 unique techniques to specifically target these larger fish. The first is a big swimbait, the second is an A-Rig, and the last is Speed Cranking. Today, Matt is going in depth with each of these methods to help you build the confidence needed to go out and catch a giant bass!

Below you'll find links to the exact baits discussed in the video. We've included the exact colors, sizes, and rigging for each. We've also included links to our favorite rod and reel combos for each technique. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Summer Crankbait Fishing: Best Baits, Modifications, and Colors (GIANT Fish Hooked!!)

Summer bass fishing with crankbaits can be incredible! Today the guys locate a school of hungry fish and start getting bit on every cast! The feeding frenzy is intense and seems like it will never end. When the bite finally slows Matt pulls out his crankbait boxes and shows his favorite baits, how to tune them, adjust hardware, and choose color but is interrupted when Coop sets the hook on a GIANT!

While today's target species were hard to come by (the passing thunderheads mixed with sweltering periods of bluebird skies were not helping), the crankbait fishing for White Bass was intense! We'll never know what Coop was tied into as his drag was screaming but it goes to show the drawing power and excitement that can be had with a deep crankbait during the Summer months. If you haven't tried throwing a crankbait, the time has come. This pattern will work all the way through Fall and anyone can do it.

Below is a list of the baits Matt showed in the video (including color recommendations) along with the hooks and equipment the guys were using. Additionally Matt has included a budget rod/reel combo option for those that want to dabble with the technique without buying expensive equipment. Summer Bass Fishing- Crankbaits And Creatures For Offshore Bass (Matt Loses a 10 LBER!!!)

Summer bass love to move offshore and today we're going after them! We're fishing ledges, current breaks, humps, and island tops in search of big bass on Chickamauga. Most anglers focus on the bank because its comfortable and easy to fish what they can see but the vast majority of fish are behind them. Come along for a fun day of fishing and see the kind of bass that live away from the bank in Summer.

Offshore bass can be caught with a variety of techniques. Truthfully, they can be caught on just about anything but there are a few techniques that really shine for this style of fishing. A few that come to mind include small swimbaits, wobble heads, spoons, crankbaits, and big worms. Today the guys focused on fast moving baits. Tim spend most of his time with a lipless crankbait while Matt focused on a swing head jig (wobble head) and occasionally mixed in a deep crank.

While today was a grind, that 10+ lber shows the exact caliber of fish that live on these off shore haunts. If you're a bank fisherman, focus on the bass that hug the shallow cover and shadow edges but if you're a boater, take advantage of that offshore bite. Get out of your comfort zone, head out deeper, and you just might connect with the bass of a lifetime!

Below are a breakdown of the baits, colors, and equipment that the guys were using in the video. The links go directly to tackle warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Deep Crankbaits Tricks To Catch More Bass This Fall

Ready to catch a big Fall bass on a crankbait? Matt and Tim share some awesome tips to help you catch more crankbait fish in the midst of a Fall feeding frenzy! They’re catching these bass 2 and 3 at a time but that doesn’t stop them from explaining retrieves, bait modifications and so much more while reeling in their fish! If you’re interested in throwing crankbaits for Fall bass, let Matt and Tim help you do it more effectively.

Big bass are schooling and ambushing baitfish right now! If you’re not using a deep crankbait to reach those fish, you’re missing one of the best opportunities of the year to catch a new personal best bass! From coast to coast, baitfish gather along deep structure (bluffs, long points, creek channels, and cove backs) and bass of all species come together for the feast. There are a handful of baits that will help you target these fish effectively but few elicit as aggressive a response as the deep diving crankbait.

The guys are using 2 different crankbaits today to keep one of these schools of bass fired up. The bass have a school of baitfish trapped on a tapering point full of scattered rock and with 2 crankbaits flying, the action never stops! Any time you get around schooling fish your goal should be to always have a bait in the water. The key to consistent action is keeping the feeding frenzy alive. Below you’ll find a breakdown of the baits and gear the guys were using to catch these bass.

The baits…

Tim’s Crankbait- Strike King 10XD (Sexy Blue Back Herring): http://bit.ly/2gHT4F0

Matt’s Crankbait- Azuma Z Boss 22 (Grand Shad): http://bit.ly/2poLKUC

Alternate Option- 6th Sense Cloud 9 size 25 (Shad Craft): http://bit.ly/2BQ4uDs

Hook and Hardware Upgrades…

Matt’s Favorite Hook- Owner ST-36 (Size 1/0): http://bit.ly/2cWpeyw

Tim’s Favorite Hook- Owner ST-35 Short Shank (1/0): http://bit.ly/2g8uCMj

Alternate Hook- Mustad KVD 2X Short Shank Triple Grip (1/0): http://bit.ly/2wSxIRz

Split Ring- Owner Hyperwire Size 4: http://bit.ly/2v8ArBX

Tim’s Rod/Reel Combo…

Rod- G Loomis IMX Pro 968 CBR: http://bit.ly/2FQj6CZ

Reel- Shimano Tranx 200 HG: http://bit.ly/2Tv0yCy

Line- 16 lb Sunline Sniper: http://bit.ly/2p7fxju

Matt’s Rod/Reel Combo…

Rod- Shimano Zodias 7’6” MH Glass: http://bit.ly/2cgmMAe

Reel- Shimano Tranx 200 HG: http://bit.ly/2Tv0yCy

Line- 15 lb Sunline Assassin: http://bit.ly/2h4LNjm

Budget Friendly Combo…

Rod- Shimano SLX 7'10" Heavy Moderate: http://bit.ly/2L3wppO

Reel- Shimano SLX XT HG*: http://bit.ly/2BRTYL8

Line- 15 lb Sunline Assassin: http://bit.ly/2h4LNjm

*The added adjustment of the "XT" over the standard SLX makes dialing in a crankbait much easier for long range casting.

**Tim and Matt are both using "HG" models in their reels. This is a 7:1 ratio. This may come as a shock to many anglers but deep cranking on a 7:1 allows for more control of your speed, harder starts and stops, and more aggressive reactions. It is more difficult to reel than a 5:1 or 6:1 but the pros outweigh the cons**
